I'm probably preaching to the choir but seriously amazed people STILL defend S/M's art style to this day because it's 'more expressive'. Everyone just looks so fucking uncanny to me.

And it's not just Ash either. Pikachu is wrong, Misty's eye shape and spacing is fucked for a few examples. and the whole general 'style' just seems like it has too many simple bright colors all over the place.

It kind of makes me not even care if they retire Ash at this point because the entire SM anime is just an abortion. Take him out back already.
