I unironically like Fletchinder more than Talonflame. Talonflame's design feels ridiculous, its proportions aren't streamlined at all, what are those flame patterns, why does it have so many of those red oval spots (grill marks??)... I seem to recall that Talonflame's design was extremely popular when it was first shown, and even now, its competitive viability makes it divisive (some people absolutely love it, some people absolutely hate it), but I hardly ever see its *design* being criticized, and no one ever seems to bring up poor Fletchinder.
