>>39895524Well, the diary entries alone make it iconic. It was definitely a mysterious part of the game, a perpetually burning abandoned mansion (or at least as a kid, I imagined it was still burning).
I actually like Kanto in GS, even if it's stripped down there's still a unique poignant feeling to it. Like faded glory, even if story-wise it can't be more than 5 years after RGB. It also feels very safe, having the dungeons removed so it's almost like a little garden you can stroll about at leisure. I appreciated it. They really gotta try the two-region gimmick again.
