i mean at least the gameplay looked somewhat interesting i guess. and the monster designs look more interesting than quite a few of the pokemon weve gotten recently so thats a thing

This makes Game Freak look worse, not better. More shill arguments gutted = Game Freak's demonstrable competency drops.

And you know what, I was one of them to some extent. Despite having no trust in their abilities whatsoever even I STILL somewhat accepted such an argument.

I didn't think it excused anything at all - it should be all hands on deck end of discussion if they're whining about it being hard - but my estimation of their skills hit zero quite some time ago and they keep somehow going lower.
