>>39905780>>39905821It could only ever work for pokemon that have the same name in every language, and it barely even works for Eevee because there's no "v" sound in Japanese which is why Eevee says "ehh~buii". The English dub of the TV show has always dubbed over Japanese Eevee with the correct English pronounciation.
LGPE didn't bother getting an English voice actress to do it right, it was purely a quick nostalgiabux grab and TPCi figured that people would prefer a human voice over a Gameboy sound effect.
