>>39907067>collectors, shiny hunters>people who literally brainwash and condition themselves to believe that wasting hundreds-thousands of hours of their dwindling lifespans on getting a different color pokemon that is otherwise the same exact pokemon is normal, acceptable behavior>completely OKYou filthy enabler. The only Pokemon that matter are the first ones you catch and raise, take to the E4, and regularly play with. The rest are just completely and utter wastes of time. Collectors for this series are like drug addicts trying to chase their first high. It's never as satisfying as the first time around.
It actually takes me to a very dark place - the same place that questions like "what is the meaning of life" and "why do I exist" take me - whenever I try to consider how much precious time some of you people have spent on something so monotonous and boring as chasing shinies, getting perfect stats, etc. Quite frankly, my heart aches thinking about it. Addicts addicted to grinding their downtime away for something that doesn't even enhance their experience. No reasoning with you people either, because of your addiction. You're naturally defensive and unreasonable about it. It's your life after all. How dare anyone else suggest that you seek meaningfulness beyond 2-3 hours of turning something on and off again.
