There will be double battles, where each player has two Pokémon on the field, some moves affect multiple Pokémon, for example Surf, others onla a single target, e. g. Tackle
Completely new world, you cannot access Kanto or Jotho

Pokémon will have abilities, which can activate in battle. For example there is a wolf Pokémon which has the ability to lower you opponent's attack when sent out
You can dive in the water and explore the sea ground.
There is a new seagull Pokémon which evolves into a pelican
Much better music, many trumpet parts
There will be two legendaries: a red dinosaur and a blue whale
You can attend to beaty contests with your Pokémon
You can harvest and grow your own berry trees
You can cook candy for your Pokémon with berries. Candies increase you Pokémon's beauty stats.
