I've wanted this for so fucking long. The idea of Pokemon to me was always this feeling of adventure with cute animal friends and a big part of that ever since I was a kid was the idea of camping and just hanging out with them, letting them do their thing.

This is the first game in the series to quite literally visualise that and holy shit it makes me happy.

I can't decide whether I want to get SWSH or not, really. I've always wanted a region with more mountains and/or grassy hills, the Trainer customization looks really promising, and Camping's features are also exactly what I wanted as well, OP. But then there's how boring Dynamaxing, the characters are getting less interesting with each new gen (team yell is retarded af), it looks even easier and gimmicky than ever, and of course, the culling.
It's much better than Gen 7, but shit. I really can't decide to waste my money or if I should save for something else.

They managed to make a total of 21 unique base models and 160+ unique fucking textures for 1 entire waifumon just because, this entire bit also suggests that
1: with game freak's recklessness and retardation, they didn't just also make variant textures and models for the rest of alcremie's forms to be able to gigantomax too and
2: that all of these forms are properly coded and not pasted over and over haphazardly as their own individual models in the source code

Pretty sure based on the myriad of threads we've had over the years debating how many were too many, when we'd get there, and how we'd like to see it happen, I'd say most of us(at least those who bother posting about it here) would prefer them just stop adding new ones than start removing them from the games. Maybe stop making new games and give us an ending with closure so we can enjoy the legacy rather than watch the series get run into the ground until it's just the rpg equivalent of a railway shooter with auto-aim. Some competitive players bitch about wanting certain pokemon removed but the reality is if it's box filler then it doesn't hurt anyone being there, and if it's remotely viable there's gonna be a crowd who'd insist it stays, so obviously removing any pokemon won't create an environment where more players are happier, there'd just be a new top 10 or so that'll make the rest irrelevant and make everyone complain that they're op or at least used so much that nobody's team is creative anymore.

I enjoy the thought of camping with your pokemon, it's just that it will be implemented poorly with no interesting contrasts between the pokemon you camp with. Like every pokemon will react to the feather toy the same way. Or every pokemon will chase the ball and play fetch. Even a pokemon like Mewtwo will attempt to play with a feather. Now think about how stupid that would look. Also, natures won't impact how you play with your pokemon while camping. Everything will be bland that gets boring after camping the first time.

The best thing about this is that the Pokémon actually interact with each other. They chase after the balls together, they interact, they talk to each other, they race, etc. It’s all incredibly immersive and I’m actually appalled at how well GameFreak did with the concept
