Depends. If I'm playing the game for long term than sure, but if I'm just playing to Mt Silver and then moving on to something else, I'd much rather play Crystal.

Definitely better than Crystal, but Crystal is better for a quicker experience where you dont have to worry about natures or ev allocation if you are autistic about such things ingame. The animations are nice too, and I like the leveled battle tower. But yes HGSS is better.
