I kinda hope they bring back legpee candies for gen 8, it's already a train wreck in terms of tier disparity, plus imagine your now 500+ on all stats T-tar dynamaxing with shit like assault vest or choice band. I'd like to see how jank shit can really get because it would be more enjoyable than normal meta shit at this point

I hate Cramorant's name. What even is a Caramormant, anyway? I can't even remember it half the time. Most Pokemon names actually mean something or are at least memorable, but Camaramarant? It just sounds weird. There had to be a better name than Carmanufacture, but I guess they were just too lazy to come up with one.

As fucking shit as it is, I'm starting to unironically want to play SwSh. I hate every new Pokemon design so far, I hate the artstyle, I think Dynamax is stupid, etc. but it looks like it can be a nice, comfy game to play for a while and I'm secretly hoping someone would gift it to me so I can play it and say "not my fault, it was a gift!" without guilt.
I still won't buy it myself because I'm too proud and because I know that besides that "comfiness" I won't really enjoy it that much, specifically because of what I already mentioned of me disliking so many aspects of it. I'm actually a richfag who doesn't mind buying games even when I'm not sure I'll like them, my Steam library is proof of that, but in this case I really don't want to give 60$ to GF, specifically for a game that doesn't deserve to be 60$ in the first place. SM taught me not to trust them, but damn, does it look fucking tempting for some reason.

I played HGSS and BW2 and liked the latter a lot more.

I know that's an option to many, but I'm not American. Here in my country not many people are into games in general, and as such, the concept of buying used is pretty much non existent. What little people do buy, they keep, no one really goes through the trouble of reselling, specially not new games. You only ever see people reselling 10+ y/o games or something.

I dislike most gen 1 mons. Bad movepools and mechanics of the first couple of gens made me heavily dislike most gen 1 mons since they were all useless.

Only ones I like are the ones that were featured in the ashnime like the starters, Pidgey line, Krabby, Muk, etc.

My gen 1 teams were and still are:
-Starter
-Pidgeot for Fly
-Surf slave
-HM slave (Charizard would be this)
-Jolteon
-Alakazam
-Butterfree (if started with Charmander)

sound font of gb/gba, the old exp share, pre-physical/special split, lack of detail in 2d sprites that allows for some imagination, either postgame or nonlinear exploration and progression depending on the generation

i've played all the games and will probably still end up playing swsh at some point most likely if i see people trying to return them to a store, i'll offer to buy it off them but statistically i've replayed the older gens more and for longer. hell, i didn't even finish usum the first time through, and forced myself to finish the second time so i could learn why people were apeshit for lusamine. point is, the new games don't interest me as much as the older series, no matter who says i'm a boomer or a kantofag or contrarian.
