3-Furry and Fetish threads are tolerated here so that takes it's toll.
4-The franchise spreads into a wide array of things making the fanbase pretty divided.
5-Some people like to hold one gen above the rest while shitting on the others.
6-The whole dex thing brought a lot of trolls farming (You)'s making the overall place even worse than usual and filled with falseflags.
There is probably more factors, but that is what come to the top of my mind.
