I have no way to prove that what I’m saying is correct as the project for 2020 is still in pre-development and nothing has been made official yet. But, to prove that I have info, I will tell you all that the next trailer will feature the Kanto Gigantamax forms. There are 3 more trailers left. One will feature new Galarian Pokemon and evolutions, the second is the Kanto Gigantamax trailer that I mentioned, and the last trailer will be dropped on release day.

Game Freak has heard the response to Sword and Shield and while nothing can be done about those games, they are looking to improve the next games that will be remakes of the 4th generation. Here are the improvements that are being considered:

1.Return of Mega Evolutions
No new Mega Evolutions will be added, but because of the response to Sword and Shield, Game Freak is considering the possibility of adding the existing Mega Evolutions to the postgame. They will be tied to Celestic Town and Cynthia’s grandmother somehow. Z moves are still out. Sinnoh starters and legendary Pokemon will get Gigantamaxed Forms

2.Expanded Pokedex
The Pokedex will feature the 493 Pokemon from Platinum and all of the new Pokemon introduced in Galar (not counting regional variants). The National Dex is still a no. However, the possibility of Sinnoh forms for a few of the Galarian Pokemon is being considered.

3.Features
All of the features from Platinum like stat trainers, the resort area, battle frontier, and distortion world will be returning. However, they will be physically scaled down. For example, the puzzle in the Distortion World will not be a corridor like the Ultra Space world, but the area will be fairly small and have an easier puzzle. The Underground will also not be very large. The Battle Frontier will work the same way as the battle facility in Galar but it will physically resemble the old Battle Frontier and have the old Frontier Brains.
