Dark Type. Any Pokémon can be a dick regardless of type so calling them evil or sinister feels like trying to pigeonhole them into a role almost any Pokémon can do. I think more Poison types show up in Evil Team rosters anyway.

Evil is fucking retarded.
Maybe if they kept it to a very few select mons like Sneasel.
But when litteraly my moms dog poochyena is "evil" it makes no sense.
It also makes less sense when the in game lore is that people THINK Absol is evil because he brings disaster, but in reality he shows up before disaster to try to warn people. But that token he is about as opposite of "evil" as you can get.
Dark and sinister are about equal in my book, both having pros and cons.

Murkrow, one of the first dark types introduced, is literally categorized as the "Darkness Pokemon." Houndour, another one of the first dark types introduced, is literally categorized as the "Dark Pokemon." Why is it so hard to understand that both concepts - sinister 'darkness' and 'literal' darkness - are combined to make the Dark type? Are we pretending that the night is not associated with sinister/malicious things and vice versa?

Take Cacturne for example: "If a traveler is going through a desert in the thick of night, CACTURNE will follow in a ragtag group. The POKéMON are biding their time, waiting for the traveler to tire and become incapable of moving."

Many dark type Pokemon are like this: they reference the sinister nature of nocturnal animals usually with implied evil intent.

Dark or Sinister since they are ambiguous enough to refer both to the fact it is a type that fights with sneak and underhanded attacks, but also to the fact some of them got this type because they are connected to the night/darkness/edgy (like Absol and Umbreon).
