>>39957079>Only the meshes are "future proofed"Yeah, that's what I meant by model. They've had super high polygon counts since they were made. It's incredibly obvious they were made for the purpose of being used for more than just 3DS Pokemon titles and that GameFreak/Creatures were planning for higher power hardware. And how does the partner Pikachu and partner Eevee being edited models make it so that the other Pokemon aren't future proofed? Those guys are very clearly special exceptions, not every Pokemon needs to be updated like that, at least not for a while.
>Which still requires a large amount of work when you have to do it for every Pokemon. That's completely fair, but that's work that they are entirely capable of doing. They have the people and the funds to do that.
>Except save them development time they can spend for other parts of the game more players will appreciate.Have you seen anything new that makes up for the loss of Pokemon from a Pokemon game? Cause personally, I haven't. It all seems like the exact same formula we've had for the past 20 years, everything added isn't changing the gameplay loop, just adding stuff to it. SS still look like the same old
>wake up in town/move into town, meet supporting cast of professor, rival, mom, etc>get starter from professor, leave first town>start journey of collecting 8 badges in a forced order>fight evil team every once in a while>do that for 7 gyms>reach climax of game where evil team does mean thing>stop them>fight 8th gym leader, go to pokemon league, become championI get it, that's boiled down. But you get my point I hope. Zelda, Mario, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, they're all using the Switch to change things up with the core gameplay. Pokemon is just doing the same old thing and it's tiring.
>All of which you can still do with the hundreds of monsters in the game.Sure, but people have their favorites. And not all of them will be included.
>picWhat am I looking at here?
