What do you dislike about competitive battling?
Knock Off is bullshit. You lose most of your HP and your valuable item if it hits you. Sometimes it even OHKOs you just because it’s so fucking strong.

I dislike taking it seriously. As a competitive game, it’s shit from many angles, which is why Pokemon battling is just about only fun when you’re with friends.

RNG and clearly superior and inferior mons and other things make it a poor competitive game. I couldn’t imagine playing it for money, knowing I could lose out on money due to a dice roll.

I just don't like PP limits of moves in general. At a competitive standpoint they are far too outdated to make sense on lots of moves. I can understand healing moves having PP but attack moves shouldn't. This would also make evasion less devastating and more about dealing more damage than you're avoiding as opposed to making yourself as hard as possible to hit and PP stalling.

That’s really bad then. Actually, I understand people that like to use those teams, but personally it just doesn’t give me the “Pokemon battle” feeling, in the sense that you wouldn’t really see those stall strategies in a battle if Pokemon were real, or in the anime for example. It’s way too focused on strategy and nothing exciting happens, battles end with a whimper instead of a bang. Fuck that shit.

Pretty much all of it, the people playing to "win" instead of just enjoying the game, the people who use stealth rocks or sticky web or toxic spikes, the people who stall for way too long, people who use very clear strong teams, etc. I'm fine for setups but do setups that are stupid high risk high reward. I'm ok with using status moves or stat moves, but theres a limit. I pretty much just stick to friends because I rarely have to worry about it.
