Steelix's base stat total is 125 points higher than onix's, going from 385 to 510.
Then, factoring that onix will lose 40 points of speed upon evolving, steelix essentially has a bst gain of 165 points.
So why is it that steelix still has only one good stat and literally everything else is garbage tier? It has so many free stat points to use.
