I don't get it. I dl'ed a FireRed rom earlier today. It was fine until I got past Brock. I was on my way to Mt. Moon trying to avoid some trainers like usual, but the girl w the Jigglypuff somehow saw me behind her when I tried to walk past.

Since it was a rom I thought it was just a bug, but I was ready for her Jigglypuff anyway. I figured it might get a lucky sleep on me, but I knew I could beat it no problem since I already had a lv 16 Mankey.

She ran backward toward me and the screen went black, but the battle never started. I hit the fast-forward button. After a few seconds a sprite appeared in the center of the screen before slowly moving toward the upper-right corner. It looked like a Jigglypuff, but the majority of it was black. I couldn't see its eyes, and its mouth stretched across the entirety of its head. I realized I had just wasted an hour or two on some shitty romhack, so I just turned it off and deleted it.

I downloaded another rom, this time just the original Red. I had the same problem. The girl with the Jigglypuff scuttled backward toward me, and the fight stuttered a bit before showing the hacked Jigglypuff. I couldn't believe the same fucker had gotten me twice. I just wanted to play some KANTOOOO, and the worst part was I was planning on using Jigglypuff in my run.

I decided to try a different region entirely, so I went to Bulbapedia to look up where else I could get Jigglypuff early on. When I loaded the page, though, the same thing that had happened in-game happened again. The same blackness filled my screen, and the same Jigglypuff appeared before me, but this time as though it were official art. Nothing else loaded. What kind of hack is this?
