Yes, I exclusively use regular Pokeballs in gens 3-6 to match the pokemon center animation and have my player character fit into the rest of the world correctly. What tipped you off?

I just use Dusk Balls and Quick Balls because I usually play in the evening.

That's what I liked to do when I still played gen 7, since it's the only gen where both the Pokemon center shows the corresponding balls on the healing machine and NPC trainers use more than one kind of ball themselves.

Yup, I catch all my legendaries on Premier Balls exclusively. No other type of ball is allowed. It was quite easy in Gen 6 with the O-Powers, but it has been hell in the other games. Plus, catching them in Premier Balls only provide a level of challenge which the vanilla games don't offer. Luckly, every game has a system/exploit which allows you to acquire Premier Balls for free.
