Could not care less about seeing Pokémon in some real world. Stylized is better every time, especially 2D.

Most things you commonly see wouldn't be any better than what Game Freak is already doing. It doesn't need to be action, it doesn't need dating sim shit, doesn't need big Pokuhmon (especially not when it's just a combination of two better features removed for it), doesn't need everything removed etc.
Past Gen 4 there was nothing to do that would make the basic gameplay better so there's no reason to change it.
New gimmicks each time would be fine if they just left them in so the series was progressing rather than changing every time for no reason other than spitting in the face of those who liked whatever it was.
