And as we’ve seen, the player characters, NPCs, and new Pokémon all have been the most expressive we’ve ever gotten, even more so than the previous Pokémon console outings. And the previous animations for old Pokémon that were already good, are being brought back to keep pace. Even the different move animations look great and has shown that they’ve taken a more 2D art approach to animating the moves than simple particle effects.
And all the old Pokémon have new textures, which Creatures would have to do for all 1000+ Pokémon, forms, etc. The models from XY, ORAS, SM, and USUM all had the same textures. They were literally the exact same models copy and pasted into the new games.
