What's there could very well be different for the Gen 2 games. Seeing as how it wasn't meant to be accessed, if you were to access it I wonder what would be there. Would they bother to make Pokemon obtainable in that pond? Are there tiles with hidden items?
You can answer those questions in regards to the remakes, but that doesn't guarantee that the answer is the same for Gen 2 games.

If they remade Goldeneye so you can access the base across from the damn without gameshark and know what it was all about, it'd no longer considered inaccessible and it'd be demystified as you have been given a definitive answer by the developer as to whats there. Doesn't matter if its a different game the fact is you know whats there now as you got access to it, thus not inaccessible anymore.

It would because remake make the game from scratch. You didn't port the same assets; you made new ones and inspired your new creation by old content. It's not the same old content in any case, but a new creation.

That doesn't matter, you are given access to an area you've deemed inaccessible, thus having it demystified as now you have a definitive answer as to what is there. Its no longer inaccessible and to call it such would be disingenuous

Either way it makes no difference, if it share the same name its the same place, it doesn't matter if it was rebuilt from the ground up you are being given access to it, thus know whats there definitively and so its no longer inaccessible
