Frankly I could care less about him though. The only thing I really care about in terms of the anime is the world building. It's cool to see locations, both those from the games and completely new ones, from an alternate perspective. Like how most of the towns visited aren't literally just two houses, a Pokemon Centre, and a Poke Mart.
