The problem with the bottom is that only 20% of what you see is anything that matters, the areas are all hallways with invisible walls that house pretty skyboxes and things you can't interact with. There might be pokemon nodes wandering around but they're ultimately just RPGmaker style flags for a battle or dialogue and that's it.
Reminds me a lot of modern FF games, especially FF14. It wants you to think it's a world that you can interact with, but it's actually just a tour through an art gallery; look, don't touch, don't step too close to the exhibit because we haven't actually programmed it to do anything but look pretty!
But the real thing that has most people seething is that, despite the graphics and world design just being "okay", they have the gall to use it as an excuse for all the cut content. I'm no graphicsfag, I could probably be content if graphics plateau'd at XB/PS2 level graphics. But fuck these cunts for trying to use something like graphics to excuse cutting so much from what was already a pretty basic game.
