The only Pokemon that will be Dynamaxed are the ones that benefit the most from it according to their roles, and depending on the added benefits of Gigantamax, they may be used over Dynamax the majority of the time, which means we'll be using a small Mega-like pool all over again. So either way, only the strongest will benefit.
The only real difference is that you can choose to Dynamax anyone on your team at any time, since you don't need to hold an item, so situationally you can choose to Dynamax someone else in response to a specific situation or threat. I guess that's a little better.
