Pokémon Masters' soundtrack is so fucking good. I just don't get how the main series isn't like this. I don't HATE the newer main series soundtracks, but they sure as shit aren't as good as this.

I was more thinking Enix soundtracks like Star Ocean 2 which is reminiscent of Masters here though a bit campier t b h. The KH style stuff was what Square was about even before the merger Front Mission, Final Fantasy, Vagant Story, Crono Cross they wanted it to be like move... unfortunately the merger happened and that became real hit or miss. Like FFX's soundtrack some people love it, I fucking hate it XII I loved though but thats because its was in the same series as Tactics and Vagrant Story

That is because it wasn't meant as an insult. Masters music is derivative, uninspired, unoriginal and boring. Its just a touch of the same fare people have gotten for 25 years and thus puts me to sleep.
