Yeah, its sad when I am biased to certain fire types just because there are not red, orange, yellow. I get that fire is kind of a specific concept and lots of stuff like grass types are also shit and it is animal with leafs but atleast they get plant variance.

Ho-Oh and Moltres are honestly the only Fire types I really like. Moltres is a very pure representation of the typing, an incarnation of flame, a giant bird literally engulfed by fire that spews Fire Blasts and goes out in a blaze of glory with Sky Attack. Ho-Oh on the other hand is a literal phoenix (even more so than Moltres who's also a bit of an amalgamation of various firebirds). Otherwise it's as you say, Fire is just a little boring thematically and most of its monsters look a very specific way (of which Moltres is the culmination). Flareon is fluffy and cute, but I like it more as an evolution of Eevee than as a Fire type specifically, and I like Volcarona more for its Bug typing and design elements than the Fire aspects of it.

Not my favorites list, I unironically tried to be objective when rating these pokemon as fire types. Gave importance to concept and originalty over just charismatic designs
>S really represents a monster that embodies fire type
>A are original concepts that succeed in matching the fire type to an animal or myth along with an original execution
>B can have really good designs, but are fire type because of colorations or simpler concepts
>C just have the fire type artificially but still manage to be somewhat interesting
>D are poorly executed fire types that have no good reason to be fire types or that have awful designs

They should focus more on the industrial and mechanical aspect of fire: factories/ovens/man-made uses and other such stuff.
A great Fire/Water for example would be a boiling pot.

Things like craters and humps and slime and lava have some thought put into them even if they are superficially related, a lot of things in B/C tier are animals that have colorations from fire. Volcarona is really cool but would have worked fine with any type, why is a moth, something nocturnal, related to the sun? Incineroar is a just a wrestling cat, it’s the starter i used but it’s just fire types because he just happened to be a starter pokemon, the same could be said about some pokemon in C. I said i *tried* to make it objective so of course everything won’t be perfect, you can make your list with your changes
