Need some advice.

I've used my blue XY o3DS XL as my Homebrew machine until recently when the rechargeability appears to be corrupted so that I can play games (both CIA and cart) only until I save the game twice, which appears to drain out the battery and put it to flashing red. Do you think I should get a New 2DS XL to be a new Homebrew machine or should I just put up with what I have? Maybe for Black Friday?

I only use it to play Pokemon.
