with the generation ending, what are some things you're gonna miss about sun/moon series?

For me are the characters, they felt so alive and they actually have personalities and quirks.

The art style and animation.
Team Rocket actually being funny again.
The comfy SoL based plots instead of walking through generic forests.

Hopefully with the next anime taking place across every region it will be more interesting than past ashnime series.

Said it all right here.
The artstyle/animation is what I'll miss the most, and is the reason I even picked the series up. Actually was nice to see instead of the "teen's first shounen anime drawings" discount shounen look previous seasons had going for it.
But you know they're going to normalize it after all the tweens and manchildren shat themselves over it not looking "cool" enough.
Was a fine 3 years though.

Nothing. This show sucks. Notice how Brock and Misty are on the poster, implying they have a bigger role, when in reality it was just another two parter, one half of which Brock was completely missing from.

Also Hau, who’s on the poster and the opening yet only appeared one time before the League, and hasn’t gotten a single speaking role since his match ended

Compared to pic related, that poster looks embarrassing and I’d choose pic related if I was a normie presented with these two posters and told to pick which is more interesting

This was probably the best that Team Rocket has ever been and it's really gonna hurt when we finally have to say goodbye to this iteration

We still have no idea how the whole "every region" thing is gonna work but that probably translates to "less Jessie, James, and Meowth" unless they've somehow cloned themselves, but we all know that such perfection is impossible in the Pokemon anime

Specifically, the opening animations. They were getting very formulaic. Alola!! wasn't that great, but specifically Mirai Connection and Kimi no Boken, the second and third openings, were really nice. Mirai Connection itself is just a really good song, but somehow they nailed the animation to be perfectly and almost kinda comfy. Kimi no Boken is super high energy and the shot of all Ash's Pokemon battling definitely matches that energy. Every shot is well animated and dare I say, SOULFUL. Pic very much related. I'm gonna miss this little guy too.

Featuring practically all game characters (the only missing ones in SM were URS, PCs and oldgen cameos).

A lot, but one of the main ones being Team Rocket. They were actually a challenge this series with Mimikyu, they even beat Ash once. Also their theme is amazing.
