Currently, i can cause paralysis and sleep (sing gulpin). But this isn't my main team as I'm just going through mt. Battle with weak mons for the first time.

As everyone have said, get rid of Sing. Although Sing is a GoD-exclusive move, later on you'll get Shroomish which can learn Spore, which is what you'll want to be using in this game anyways.

Every Shroomish can Learn spore. What you should look out for is Follow Me Magmar. I'm not sure but I think that one is unique to EggsDee

Keep Sing on Gulpin/Swalot. You can boost your Pokemon's accuracy by calling to it, making Sing more reliable. It's bulkier than most, if not all other Pokemon with access to a sleep-inducing move in this game, making it one of your best options for team/catching support.
