I liked when gym leaders/the elite four talked during battles in Gen 5.

I hope the symbols showing what stats have been raised/lowered during battle find their way into the current UI. I think there's design space for them but if GF is going for the MiNiMaLiSm meme, well, the usual one step forward, two steps back.

triumphant music for when the gym leader/E4 member was on their last mon. also the subtle drum beat that played when running in gen 5. critical health music can go. it always got in the way of more important songs, catchy tune though.

Same,I also miss being awarded special wallpapers for the PC after finishing the game,or those secret wallpapers you could get from passwords in all games from Emerald to HGSS. From what I saw in Gen 8 the PC doesn't even have wallpapers,just some grid on a white background

Fucking this. It was a really cool way of getting things like egg moves and hidden abilities before the first gym. The first and only time Poochyena was usable was when you could nab one with the elemental fang of your choice on the first route, or a shadow sneak Ralts 30 minutes into the game.
