DP came out in 2006 and BW in 2011, with Platinum/HGSS coming out in 2008 and 09 respectively. How poorly was the DP anime paced?

Judging by later series, the anime writers obviously don't care about touching on post-game content at all. The only reason they did the Emerald Battle Frontier was because DP was delayed and they had to pad things out an extra year.

It was the only era to have its League end five years after the last. Every other region was three years. That's how bad DP's pacing was.

Didn't have to be around the corner though. And shouldn't have been since Gen 5 is the first 100% rushed Gen.

Masuda admitted D/P were despite having a delay but at least they got a delay even if it still wasn't enough. Gen 5 needed one as well, clearly, and didn't get one at all.
