If Black and White was saved for 3DS release, things probably would have been better for Gen 6 and the following games.

XY was a tech demo for Game Freak to test the waters with the 3ds. Any gen that started the 3D line would'e been ass.

That second part is total shit though. If it is an hd port they would have to give us everything in the game it is a port of. With all old Pokémon on Switch hardware their bullshit would be too obvious for them to get away with it

Disagree. A lot of what made BW/B2W2 so good is that GF were fully acquainted with the DS hardware, which meant they could polish and refine the gameplay experience.

BW with 3DS would be a slog. NPCs stop you every town and almost every route for exposition and handholding. On the 3DS those would all be cut scenes like in SM. However the battles were better in BW, enemies and movesets werent braindead like in XY. So overall it would be better.

Are you stupid? They would've had to scrap much of their work to get it working on 3DS. Game Freak didn't get 3DS devkits until 2010, and BW was months away from release then. You would've gotten something more unfinished than XY.

XY would have been way better if the animators and programmers could focus on other things rather than making sure you could touch heatran

It's true, XY "saved" pokemon from falling into a niche market after BW alienated so many longtime fans
I personally know of tons of people who got back into pokemon with XY
BW was great for first versions, but unova is a boring region and b2w2 totally dropped the ball imo
