But at the same time, he's got boundless ambition, and so he'll readily make a fool of himself and be cognizant of it in order to progress towards his goals. He's the type of person to regularly butt heads with friends out of minor disagreements.
SM Ash is more like an energetic good boy with a dream, he lacks the rougher edges and contradictions inherent to OG Ash. But he also lacks the introspection, calm calculations and strategizing, and self-sufficiency of AG/DP Ash, who is objectively OG Ash's archetype at his most developed and experienced.
SM Ash is alright as a character, don't get me wrong. But he neither feels like the same person or an evolution of the same person. He just feels like someone else.
