I never disliked any of the battle styles but Doubles and Triples were always my least favorite. They just go by too quickly which makes them boring.
Rotation were the best to me but once I found a funny but good team to use for it, they became pretty great. Mewostic (male) + Whimsicott decimated everything.
It was particularly fun to open with them on either side and have a legend in the middle that did basically nothing but the opponent would target it down thinking it was the threat of the three of them while they got the two turns they needed to set up.
Then (Mega) Gyarados would come in and they'd all three proceed to go to town on them (unless Whimsicott did go down first - which often happened thanks to being targeted down by Mega/Gengar but that just meant Gyara got the Leech Seed position).
Essentially I was able to slow them down without straight up using stall and ended up using mostly cutesy to destroy them which was just funny.
