>>40048100You see threads talking about designs a lot, but generally, no one really talks about the fact that Pokemon are designed by a lot of different people with different styles(unless it's to shit on Turner/praise Sugimori). There is no one "look" for Pokemon, since they don't exist. Most people here like the styles of Nishida and Sugimori, but no one talks about why they think those styles are actually better at capturing what they feel the aesthetic of Pokemon should be. Also, I didn't make this image, but apparently the green check marks indicate mons the image's creator could verify were from a given artist first-hand.
