'no exp share'
This is a thing of the past. EXP share is always on for the rest of the franchise. If you don't want pokemon getting experience, leave them in the box... at least until gen 10. Then, you'll have to have them on another cart.

OP you're not getting it. Difficulty settings are not about intentionally gimping yourself. Not using optimal options just makes you feel like you're shooting yourself in the foot, like you're simply playing badly.

Its like saying using the megabuster only in Megaman is a proper difficulty setting.

It's an arbitary restriction/limitation. Which is fine in itself. I would still like to see a proper difficulty setting, which they only tried one ina very convoluted method of obtaining and then never again.

No, it's a different difficulty.
It's essentially a different category of the same game. It's a hard border and you can do anything you want to optimise your gameplay within it.

I can play Pokemon with one arm tied behind my back too, but thats not the same thing as wanting GF to do things like give opponents better teams, with hold items and other such things.

Self imposed restrictions aren't a difficulty setting. Look at USUM and how it gave nearly all trainers just a single Pokemon. Turning off shift does nothing then.
