There are many other objectives than profit maximization like revenue maximization, ethical business objectives and also achieving other social aims. Fans see it as a massive improvement since they only compare it to past games in the series, while failing to acknowledge how shallow this "innovation" is, in the fact that it solely exists as a marketing tool, see: Pokemon amie and so many more features that wee never fully realized. Everyone is assuming they are profit maximizing, but they may even be sales maximizing. Whether they continue with Let's Go will reveal TPC's true business objective
