If I remember correctly, while I never extensively used Farfetch'd to a extent, I always dug his design. People would always call him not that great, but since I never experimented with him, I never got to know his potential. I'm actually considering making a play through with him on some random ROM with him as a starter and consider him as such.
Man, what I wouldn't give for an option to make any pokemon your own starter. But truth be told, he always looked really cool in the anime. As far back as the R/B days if I remember. I always seem to be fond of the overlooked ones. Always gets on my nerves any time someone calls a starter a "underrated" pokemon considering many forgotten mons out there and one of the reasons I'm sad not all of them will make it hard-coded. Still hoping they're trolling us by the end of the day and we have all of them in that tiny cartridge, only their dex entries really missing, kinda like in Sun and Moon.
