Except that's fucking wrong and you know it. Before Mantine was buffed, it and Skarmory had the exact same stats, just shuffled around so that Skarmory focused on Attack and Defense and Mantine focused on Special Attack and Special Defense.

Just gonna add that yes, base stats aren't the end all reason to denote version counterparts, but when you line up all of the Gold and Silver exclusives like this, it's very easy to see what lines up with what.

What would you base her evolution off of, though?
Something like a valkyrie? Or make her more ghostly like yamabuba?
Like, as bizarre as it is I think Jynx's design is pretty much perfect so I don't know how you would build off from that.

Toxapex does not die to a Giga Drain
It's a literal Reef so it cant be more fragile that a Tiny Sea Star
