Looking at the entire dex at once makes me realize just how cartoony and out of place it is to the other gens. At least Kalos, Alola and Galar still look like Pokemon

Unova Dex is one of my favorites, which is a bit of a shame because I really don't like the Unova region itself. It's not completely awful, but it's my least favorite out of all the 2D games.

Now you've got to be kidding me. Even amongst the worst, Eelektross whole line should be at the very bottom. I think only the toad line is worst in Unova.

I didn't realize I disliked so many of them until putting it in a picture like this since I really like the Unova games overall. I guess it's because any pokemon I feel indifferent toward are still fun to use for me.

It’s an electric lamprey, not an eel.
Lampreys are mistaken as eels but they’re not even closely related.

They made an eel-like creature but a not a literal eel. So the concept is unique.

Snivy's too cartoony and Serperior's length feels a bit too short.
Volcarona's cool, but I feel it needs a few more minor details.
The Pidove line is a good line
Meant to put Krookodile in A
Archeops isn't aesthetically appealing to me at all
Reshiram's got some weird design choices but it doesn't deserve to be D.

I agree. I always though i liked most of the Gen V dex, and while it comprises the gen with most reps in my Top 50, it also has a bunch of stuff i hate. A LOT. My like and dislike sections are nearly identical in size. It was also saturated by so many unremarkable or shitty legendaries. The middle part of the dex is God-tier, but the beginnig and end are pretty fucking awful. Lousy starters, worst regional rodent family, worst regional bird, shitty fish, only a couple of good legendaries despite there being a shitton of them... even then, the good Pokemon are good enough for me to still love the gen despite this. I never though my Gen VI list would be more positive, though. Interesting threads.

I feel like I’m the only one who believes that the Unova Deux has the most amount of real bangers of the entire franchise. Even some of the ones I’m indifferent to are unique and well thought out designs and concepts.

It does have the most bad legendaries.
