>gen 1 is Stardust Crusaders: it's what the modern series is based off of, but it's absolute shit yet people who've only seen that and no other parts constantly regurgitate memes and phrases (ORAORA, RERORERO, YARE YARE, etc.) In hopes that it'll make them cool
>gen 2 is Jojolion: Fun towards the beginning and much better than SC but drags on for way too long at the end, exhausting the reader
>gen 3 is Battle tendencies: Yeah, it was fun to watch, but it's vastly overrated and people whose favorite part is BT are elitist as shit and attack you if you criticize it at all
>gen 4 is Diamond is Unbreakable: only improved on what the older series had and while it was slow to start, which staved off some people, it picks up later and becomes one of the better parts
>HGSS is SBR: vastly considered to be the best part by longtime fans of the series, a reimagining of an older part with new fantastic ideas incorporated
>BW is stone ocean: a dividing point and where many people dropped the series due to poor writing and boring progression, eventually lead to a universe reset
>gen 6 is the Diavolo fight: hype building up with the end result being a complete asspull and disappointment, especially compared to the rest of the series
>gen 7 is the planet waves fight: it had potential but that potential was completely squandered and set the stage for the worst arcs in the series
>gen 8 isn't even Jojo anymore because even at Araki's worst, whatever he puts out is at least has effort put in.
