Recent the Sirfetch'd trailer came.
here is some new info for the other game exclusive that will be revealed on the 25th of September.

Farfetch'd Normal/Flying.
Sirfetch'd Fighting (Sword Exclusive).

Girafarig Normal/Psychic.
Girafarage Ghost (Shield Exclusive).

Bea Gymleader from Sword will have a Sirfetch'd.
Allister Gymleader from Shield will have a Girafarage.

The Girafarage is the Tail of the Girafarig taking over the body.
The ability it has is "Cursed Body".

Why do people keep thinking a Girafarig evo would become ghost and not dark?
points for dark:
>original design was part dark
>literally has a dark half
>dark half has been long established to be centered around biting and acting on instinct
>learns 6 dark moves in its movepool

I never understood why it wasn't Normal/Dark to begin with, not that I'm necessarily complaining. It just doesn't make a lot of sense given Girafarig's current design.

Yeah but it's at least a thing you could picture becoming focused on fighting moves. Lots of fanmade Farfetch'd evos are fighting/flying. What I don't understand is why people look at a giraffe with a dark bitey head on its tail and think "yeah that definitely becomes a ghost"

Girafarig was originally supposed to be the evolution of two ghosts attached twins called Twins, they were dark and not ghost type likely because of the evolution thematic and at the time were creating the dark type and were not fine with having a very little number of them, by evolving one ghost would become the regular normal part while the other the dark part thus forming >>40074967 image.
Before release the dark half was changed entirely, its typing was changed to normal dark and the pre-evo being removed because the idea of having a due of ghosts turning into a polygamy two parts giraffe with two heads and four legs was seen as a bad one to release internationally to a target for kids.

I would have loved a Normal/Dark mon, would have been a nice Dark type team member if you skipped over Eevee in Goldenrod since Gen 2's Dark distribution was bullshit.
