It’s because originally on Gen 1 Red/Blue (Red/Green in JAPAN) and YELLOW you could only Play as Male protagonist and that girl we saw as Ghost like thingy
She only EXIST in the MANGA WORLD

This is how I’m feeling, Black 2 is the endpoint for all my mons from previous gen play throughs even though I have Y, Alpha Sapphire, sun and ultra moon. Also I’m within 100 Pokémon of completing the National dex

B2W2 has the exact same problem as SM. They take 'till three quarters of the way through the journey let you actually play the game, and hugh never shuts up and fucks off. Ruby and Sapphire were the last games where the player wasn't gently guided through a set of corridors to their destinations while nobody shut up. The corridors have just been getting more and more narrow.
