also, there should be a gimmick where you can waste a turn posing. Hell, they can make it into a gimmick where certain poses give different stat boosts akin to aegislash’s stat change. goofy poses and taunt poses.

I've always liked Gallade but this backsprite has honestly made it one of my favorite Pokemon. He just looks really good from this angle, focused on the battle and ready to fuck stuff up. I also like how his arms are resting but his elbow blades are extended. The sprite also doesn't show his weird watermelon abdomen, which is a plus.
