>>40089531I'm very mixed on these Pokemon in general.
The starters - I am perfectly fine with those. Although we have had plenty of ape-like Pokemon, we never had a full-fledged gorilla Pokemon before. (Slaking is the closest, but it is a hybrid between gorillas and sloths.) We've never had a fire rabbit Pokemon before, and the rabbit has a kicking/soccer theme so that's nice. We only have three chameleon evolutionary families so far (if Lickitung counts), including Sobble's. Lickitung doesn't really have the camouflage theme, while Kecleon does but it is a nichey Pokemon known for being able to camouflage more than anything else. So I wouldn't mind a chameleon with more utility.
Wooloo - Pretty boring as it is a generic sheep with Normal-type.
Gossifleur/Eldegoss - We have other cotton Pokemon before, and those had dual-typings. So boring.
Drednaw and pre-Drednaw: We had Water/Rock turtles before, and although this is a snapping turtle, it feels like a copy-paste of Tirtouga.
Corviknight - We never had a raven Pokemon before, and Flying/Steel was only used twice before this. So I actually like Corviknight. Also having the common bird evolve into a Steel-type (and not be Normal) again is amazing.
Yamper - Pretty basic, boring Electric-type dog (we had a few already). Unless the evolution gains secondary typing, it would be boring even as a racedog.
Impidimp - Amazing typing and design as an imp (can reference either small devils or mischievous fairies, hence the type).
Alcremie pre-evolution: We had Slurpuff, but that had a more canine/licking theme to its design. This is an actual whipped topping Pokemon with some small hints of magical girl elements in the design. Also they come in plenty of colors and toppings so it's not boring.
