- Teaser was a mislead. Definitely focused primarily on Galar.
- Animation is fluid like Sun and Moon, but human characters have a more "realistic" appearance. Looks a bit generic in that regard.
- Ash returns but as a "deuteragonist". Pikachu and him have been training in the Wild Area for "awhile", and takes on a mentor role to the new protagonist. Looks more mature (sharper eyes and longer hair), with an updated OG outfit. Still a bit bumbling, Pikachu is seen being eaten by a Cramorant as Ash looks on shocked.
- New protagonist, Satoru. Basically "Ash 2.0.", but seems to be a bit more nerdy and book smart---reminds me of Deku. Idolizes Ash as he watched his League Battles, but is a bit taken aback by how clumsy Ash really is, but is taken under his wing as he aims to compete in the Galar League with Ash as his sponsor. His localized name is apparently "Arc".
- Satoru has a pet Yamper that follows him around, but doesn't seem to technically be his. Scorbunny is shown to be his main Pokemon.
- Milo and Nessa are Satoru's friends and traveling companions, have new outfits that are more casual (and less revealing in Nessa's case) and don't seem to be Gym Leaders but rather merely Trainers. Milo has a Grookey and is shown to be obliviously strong, lifting up everyone and escaping from a horde of Beedrill. Nessa has a Sobble and is shown to have a love of spicy curry, eating a bowl no problem that causes everyone else to spit fire out.
- Ash is shown to have brought his old Pokemon with him. Satoru has them "autograph" a book he keeps. Oshawott is shown battling Grookey with its scallop, Snorlax is shown sleeping as Yamper runs circles around it, Gible is shown biting Satoru's autograph book and trying to eat it, and Noctowl is shown preening its feathers. It seems Ash's old Pokemon will feature prominently in the show.
