He's not a good art director, all of the revealed pokemon so far have no consistency in design, they all look like they belong in different gens, I mean you have all these obvious Britain themed pokemon that are a bit cliched to the point we knew there was going to be a fucking teapot, then you have a monkey and a Chameleon, then there's the Galar forms that are just rip offs of existing real world things instead of naturally evolved creatures, there's just no good direction for designs.
