>Body Proportions...Magmortar went from being obese to being a cartoonish caricature of a circus strong man and it is not a good look.
>Color...Magmar's entire color scheme was always based on colors of flames and you took that away and replaced it with something dull and uninspired.
>Overall...Edgy and utterly uninteresting.
Though... I must admit that it isn't soulless, effort was put into this redesign but you missed the point entirely.
Next time actually take the time understand what makes the character themselves. When you have that grasp, then you can redesign them in a way to better represent the ideas behind them.
