I think people are responding so positively to Sirfetch'd solely because Farfetch'd is so old and useless that people are excited by the idea of him finally becoming not useless. If Farfetch'd had been a Gen VI of VII mon, I don't think they'd be nearly as excited.

As for me personally, I'm fine with the design, but I'm not particularly excited by it. Although admittedly, this might be a side-effect of Dexit impacting my objectivity. If the Dex wasn't getting cut, and I still had a generally positive view of SwSh, I might be more excited by him.

Stop being a faggot op. As for your question, no you aren't. Farfetch'd is my favorite Pokemon and I've been waiting years for an evolution. Lo and behold they finally did it and it falls flat. The problem is they didn't do enough to differentiate it from source, calling it an evolution yet not evolving it in any substantial way when compared to just about every other Pokemon evolution. As for why people are getting so excited over white Farfetch'd, your guess is as good as mine.

I have my fair load of problems with it myself:

There's a reason why everyone else likes it and you literal autists seethe and foam at the mouth over it, it is because for whatever reason you guys actively imagined something completely different for it despite
1: knowing gamefreak will never cater to an individual's desires, let alone their fanbase
and 2: refusing to accept the actual positives this evo brings for farfetch'd as a whole
It gives it more spotlight, it gives it some sort of meta relevancy, expands on the theme of using leeks as a weapon, by giving it a literal weapon, plus shield that is the top of the leek, all while giving it a fighting chance against shit like ferrothorn and T-tar cuz if you think those 2 aren't gonna have over 40% usage rates, then you are a literal retard.
The only real negatives are i guess smug face for no reason and "haha long thing funny" but honestly, even that's kinda debatable.
You ree into crowds and expect them to understand, yet you don't understand that no one fucking cares about you reeing for attention

It also should've kept either its normal or flying type. I'm pretty sure Sirfetch'd is the only non-Eeveelution to have a completely different type than its pre-evolutions.

The name honestly bugs me the most. I figured Sirfetch'd might've been a quickly slapped together name as a placeholder, because it's just "sir" (because le epic fancy like a sir england etc.) slapped onto farfetch'd. It's easily the laziest name in the entire fucking franchise.
And then there's the fact that it's an evolution. It just looks like a regional form, it even loses both its normal AND flying typing in favor of just a plain old fighting typing?
And as icing on the cake, it just feels like yet another "funny" joke about how a pokemon has a really long feature. Is this some sort of thing in Japan? That they find things abnormally long to be funny? Because the joke is getting really fucking old.
All in all it's just a really fucking bland pokemon, the beta evolution is a thousand times better.
