Ice is the glass cannon type. I think the 1/2x to fire should have not been adopted though. Maybe an interaction with poision? 1/2x from poison?

Poison is fine as it is, Fairy managed to make it not pure garbage anymore.
If anything give Ice a resistance to Ground, but honestly a lot would be fixed by just making more Ice mons sweepers as that's what their match-ups best suit, and give physical Ice types access to some actual moves.

Ice is the glass cannon type, but that's no excuse to be AWFUL.
Psychic, another thematically frail type, has 2 resistances, itself and Fighting.
Ice should match that number and gain a resistance to Ground. Nothing more.

Ice being awful as a type is bad for the game. A lot of obligatorily included ice-type shitmons are created just to fill out the ice-type roster, and they're unfairly doomed from the start just because of their typing.
